Portfolios For K, 1 and 2 this year!

We are reviving an old tradition. Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade will be bring portfolios home this year at open house. We will be storing lots of our wonderful work inside for you to enjoy.

1st Grade learned about the artist Wassliy Kandinsky. A Russian artist who made art that looks like music sounds.

Wassily Kandinsky's art

We listened to music and made beautiful artworks of our own. :)

Kindergarten learned all about lines, shapes, colors, and textures to make their fabulous portfolios.

Please ask us to show you how to make a vertical, horizontal, diagonal, and curved line! And ask how we can turn those lines into shapes using our fingers.

Last, but not least, Second grade learned about Joan Miro.
M I R O...That's the way you spell Miro!
He was the Spanish artist that changed the way he made art because the camera was invented.

He made his art work like a puzzle that you's have to figure out. His friend Paul Klee said " A line is a dot you take for a walk". That is just what we did...

Enjoy Some of Miro's wild works of art!

Enjoy more of his works accompanied by Spanish music, with lyrics his native language.
