We have A LOT To Share About Christie's annual Culture Fest!

Our Students worked tirelessly to get their artworks finished for Culture Fest!



Second grade designed woven Animal Masks.



And Made Beautiful Japanese Cherry blossom trees!




Fifth grade added Japanese Origami paper cranes to make our display really POP! 



Kindergarten made snow globes from around the world!







And original one of a kind Handprints Inspired by the contemporary American chalk street artist, David Zinn.

First Grade learned about the beautiful Faberge' Eggs created for the Tsars of Russia and their family.


We pretended we were a part of Faberge's Workshop creating our own little jewel encrusted eggs to show our Tsarina!


Third grade went on an imaginary trip to China to learn about the amazing Tangram puzzle created for the Emperor! 


We used our Tangrams to create pictures of our own. Here are just a few!



Third grade also made "Ojos de Dios", which are a Mesoamerican yarn art tradition, the translation in English is"God's Eye"!





Fourth grade made Polynesian Tiki  prints with Ms. Roe





Fourth grader's also made Native American Inspired weavings with Mrs. Tice but They all wanted to take them home to show off!







 Fifth graders also made Radial Weavings with Mrs. Tice. As well as, Egyptian Prints with a golden sarcophagus using metal with Ms. Roe. 












At Open House, Ms. Roe had anyone who wished make aboriginal sticks to assemble together to make a Christie Mural.


On Culture Fest night we had a great turn out!


That night we had an amazing fourth grade program! Lot's of food to share at the Taste of Culture!

And wonderful Exhibits from all around the world brought to you by parents and teachers! 









As well as one brought to you by someone you might just recognize...



PS.  This is not my Husband, he is one of my dad's who was helping me set up!  :)





We had multicultural works of art everywhere!
