HAS aNYBODY SEEN MY blog!!!

I have been Working SOOOOO hard getting ready to bring home clay for the holidays, I let my blog slide.

Gathering...Loading.... Firing...
Unloading... Repeat!
SORRY...
So here are a few things we've been up to in the meantime!

First grade "clowned around" with the color wheel and created their own unique colorwheel clowns!

We made them into masks, while we watched famous circus performances and made marvelous circus drawings to go with them!

Kindergarten was learning all about
friendship in class so we decided to make our new artwork tie into that theme!

These are just a sample of some of our Henri Matisse inspired
Friendship Collages!

We even saw a video of Henri Matisse making his own collage.

Second grade has been studying space!

We used Mixed media to create these wonderful art works!

Keep your eyes peeled at open house for them! :) The second grade teachers did a writing activity to go with them too!

We used pearlescent white paint.

We looked at cool hubble telescope images.

And once inspired  we created our own with Chalk.
Finally, use cool watercolor papers we had made with a friend to create our planets!

They all turned out really great!

First Grade that's who!

Let's Face it, Fifth Grades
portraits are really Great!

Fourth grade boxed in their creativity, with their imaginative clay containers.

And last but not least, Third grade is just wild about their clay animals!
