Illuminated Manuscript Boxes

These are just a sampling of examples of 5th grader's Illuminated Manuscript inspired boxes!

We chose abbreviations or initials that had a significant personal meaning to us like LOL, NFL or BBF.  Then, we added  images that illustrated the meaning behind the initials we chose. 

Once students finished their work, many wrote a critique of their masterpiece. Here are just a few. :)
